CLASS PBOPllECY Having concluded a trip to Mexico as a United Airline hostess, I am at the Class of '56 reunion. There is a definite air of anticipation surrounding me as I stand in the beau- tiful new home economics room here in Britton. As this is I966, I suppose we will all be interested in the individual careers each has followed. Coming through the door at this moment is Dave Squires, the new president of General Motors. With him is the former Marge Papp and her husband. Marge has just accepted the job as Latin teacher at Britton. The room is quite crowded now. Over by the table I spy Kay fKutznerl. Married life certainly has agreed with her. She appears to be explaining something to Paula Schober. Paula is the chief fashion designer for Warner Bros. Walking towards them is Ron Croll, All- American. Everyone has heard of his outstanding football achievements. Ever one is seated now and I can see more clearly. At the end of the table Bev jRohr- backj, also an airline hostess is conversing with Kathryn jLidsterI. Kathryn's secret ambition to own a pink Cadillac with light blue interior has finally been realized. It is proudly parked in the extensive parking lot. My sister, Pat IHabrickl, is seated beside me. She is the head nurse at the Eastern Star Orphanage in China. At her right is Shirley IWeIterl. She and her husband have just moved into their brand new ranch type home in Milan. Dick Bruce and Ken Bortel are talking over their prize winning pigs. They both own large farms near Britton and are always winning awards for their animals and crops. Seated opposite us is Valerie jBentIeyl. She has just returned to Britton for a vacation from Hawaii, where she is the secretary of an enormous pinea ple planter. Valerie and Ruth Ann jHannahI look as though they are comparing views as Ruth Ann is also a secretary. She is secretary for her husband, manager of the New York Yankees. Couples are now moving to the dance floor. One of the first to begin dancing is Larry Patterson with his wife. Larry is quite a well-known figure in the news today, as he broke a new speed record in his job as a jet pilot. Quite a few of the fellowsjare still inluniform. Gathered together around Gen. Harold Rhora are Corporal Ed Handleyftand Al Harris. I see that Daniel Wellnitz is also in uniform. Also exchanging opinions in this group I see Bob Faust, a decorated pilot in the Air Force, and Gerald Grady, who has decided to make the Air Force his career. ,, l' The leasentries have all been exchanged, and everyone is looking for his belongings. Dorothy Genkinsl and Marilyn jMaIlochD seem to own similar coats. Dorothy and her husband are still working at General Motors. Marilyn is completing her fifth year as second grade teacher in Ridgeway. . Marvin Stotler, who has just bought the Meadowridge Dairy Farm is leaving with Max Shepherd. Max graduated from engineering college last year and is employed by The United States Steel Co. It has been a very enjoyable evening. I am happy to know that all my classmates of '56 are doing so wonderfully.
