YT' ff tp, 4 4 L ea 'B' ' FOOTBALL' Under the supervision of Coach Jim Fox, the l9h6 Britt High School football team worked its w y to its most successful season in several years. In the first game of the season, a non conference game with Manly, the boys came out with a 6 6 tie They really started to move a week and they scored a big up set, as they defeated the Bel three touchdowns The next week the team journeyed p and there in the best played game of the season, the score of 20 13 The next Friday we were host to the School, and that was simply Britt's big n1ght le later, however mond Broncos by to Forest City, Eagles won by a Eldora Training scored seven touchdowns agalnst their team whlle they never entered scoring territory At this point of the season the team ran into mu h tougher com petition The boys worked hard and kept up their spirit but things just didn't work out right, and the Eagles were defe ted by t eir four remalning opponents Part of the late se sons set backs can be fOhfflb1t6d to injuries, the team lost two good men, when Dale Anderson guard and Bill DOC' Copas, back, each suffered a broken collar bone Anderson was injured in the Belmond game, while Copas sustained his in a pra tice session a few days before the Northwood game Bob Nedved, half back, was elected by his teammates as the honorary football captain for the year The team was honored when Lyle Peterson, end, and Bob Nedved, half back, were named to the All conference foot ball team QCOPBS Britt Britt Britt Britt Britt Britt Britt 3 , j Manly Belmond Eldora T S Northwood Lake Hills Buffalo Center Garner - .
