Physical Education keeps students healthy. The Physical Education Department functions basically to keep our students physi- cally fit. It builds sound bodies by providing a break in the days routine. Many popular sports are included in the program prepared by our good-natured, energetic staff of teachers. Intramural competition also aids in developing fine qualities of sportsmanship and cooperation. As a vital part of our school life, the Physical Education Department emphasizes the factors which determine good health. Boys' gym class: One-two-three! One-two-three! PHYSICAL EDUCATION DEPARTMENT. .ff BRISTOL HIGH SCHOOL TECHNICAL DEPARTMENT Dave Rossiter at the drawing boar Technica! courses prepare us or Our Technical Department although located separately from the Senior Building of BHS plays as large a part in creating well- developed individuals. Technical studies prepare young men to take their place in the vast, progressing world of industry. From Tech courses such as machine shop, drafting, and woodworking, boys are able to develop their own vocational aptitudes. The basic aim of the Technical Department is to provide the boys with a working knowl- edge of some useful trade. Its efficient, friendly instructors work to uncover hidden mechanical or mathematical skills. This year for the first time, girls have had the opportunity of enjoying certain classes at the Tech Building. You lucky boys! Robert Warren, Gary Stafford, and Brian Perry at the drill press. 'YZ
