Euniur JUNIOR CLASS HISTORY We entered Freshman High on Wednesday, September 5, 1951. We were very much excited and confused by the one way traffic system, the different passes, one for each move we made, and the P.A. System, which seemed to know all and hear all. Oh, brave new world that has such people in it. On November sixteenth the Freshman Frolic was held. The members of the Student Council acted as ticket sellers and Mr. St. Lawrence of the Technical Building, led us in different dances and games. Many students attended and thoroughly enjoyed the first big social event of their high school life. Everyone was excited when election time arrived. The results were as follows: Robert Dailey, president, Ronald Stocks, vice-president, jackie Dupuis, secretary, and john White, treasurer. The freshmen had a good basketball team, and won a high percentage of their games. We were very proud of the team, which was under the captainship of George Yosh Redman. We also were very proud of our great cheering squad, which was under the leadership of Sharon Rulli. June, time for exams, came around, and thus ended our first year of high school. September, 1952 we entered the Senior Building as Sophomores and felt ourselves truly important though we did get lost now and then. Elections came early that year. We all had the great thrill of using a real voting machine. The officers of our class were Sal Duke Acampora, president, Claudette Thibodeau and George Anchers, vice-president, Mary Hyland, secretary, and Barbara Russell, treasurer. We had new teachers, new subjects, new sports, and, or yes, let's not forget that one way trafiic system! In those Hrst few weeks we made many new friends and also adjusted ourselves to all that homework. Everyone attended our Hrst big dance, the Freshman Frolic, which fell in Novem- ber that year. We all had a grand time and boy, didn't we think we were something! Soon, the classrooms were filled with campaign slogans and serious elections fol- lowed. The survivors of the struggle were: Robert Swat Duval, presidentg Donald Fortier and William Galski, vice-president, Beverly Cross, secretary, and Frank Woods, treasurer. The basketball season came into being once again with two spine-tingling games with our city rival, St. Anthony's High School. They won the first game, but later, under the leadership of Captain john Paul Levebvre, we conquered our foes in two overtime periods. We suffered only one other defeat, that to the Alumni! With the coming of exams in june, that long wait for summer vacation ended, but in a way, we hated to leave old F. H. S. One, two and three, and one step back. Sophomore Glee Club Officers. Seniors!
