CIMA Hwtvry With the approach of fall in l9h6 the ringing of school bells could again be heard Among the first gr ders running gally p the walk to Brlstol school were Gary Carlson, Sonja Mauritzson, and James Donahue These three students attended school together for the next twelve years In 19514. twenty seven shy freshmen were seated ln the assembly Besides the above three we fini Betty Bury, Allen Butler, Lula Butler, Jerry Busch, Lyle Busch, Arden Denholm, Cherryl Flattum, Richard Espe land, Roger Esche, Lowell Morehouse, Marianne Machmiller, Judith gaard, Judy Murphy, Rose Schlley, Duane Marx, Doris Henrichsen, Terry Holmqulst, Linda Simonson, Mavis Smith, Marlin Solberg, Jerry Morehouse, Beverly Peterson, and Fred Neubauer An event which highlighted this klng and queen candidates were Richard Espeland, and Judy Murphy During our freshman year we lost Roger Esche, Marlin Solberg, and Lowell Morehouse The highlight of our Sophomore year, planning the Initiation party, was dampened because Judy Murphy, Beverly Peterson, Mavis Smlth, and Fred Neubauer transferred to other schools At the annual school car nlval we sponsored Sonja Maurltzson and Lyle Busch as candidates for homecoming queen and klng Sonja was chosen and reigned over the student body for the year of 1957 Feeling quite important we began our third year in the cllmh This year Marianne Machmlller and James Donahue were honored as our king and queen candidates As juniors, we took our turn ln preparing the banquet for the seniors We choose the theme, 'Moonlight and Roses A class play, 'The Custers' Last Stand' was presented as an extra curricular actlvlty Betty Bury and Rose Schlley left us during our junior year Keith Geist and Boyd Fisk joined us ln our senior year to make our class of twenty graduating members Ellen Lekberg and Jerry Morehouse were our queen and king candidates for homecoming day 'Stop the Wedding was the play presented by our class ln the spring of our senior year A sklp day to the Black Hills was the climax of our four years spent in Bristol High School.
