Closs Hlstory Early one autumn mornmg a shrp of Prrates were travelrng down the St Joe Rrver Soon they saw the remams of an old brrck burldrng so they anchored and stopped to rnvestrgate To therr surprxse they found rt was old Brrstol Hrgh School They searched further and found a chest frlled wrth the assorted treasures of the Class of 1958 The Prrates found that the class had started rts Joumey wrth thrrty f1ve httle 'Green1es who were 1n1t1ated for the Job they were to complete These Prrates drscovered that B111 Mrtchell Gunnar Errckson, Shxrley Srerzan, Sharon Rowe and Judy Stover had been chosen to lead the class Also rn the chest were some remlnders of the class's two skatrng partres and thelr cake raffle Then the Prrates found that rn another year the class had changed therr names to 'Sophomores' an had chosen Buzz McConnell Shrrley Srerzan, Carol Rodgers, Sharon Rowe, and Parks Wrlson as the rr class offrcers Strange but then the Prrates came across a tattered but st1ll valuable sweater of black wrth red and whrte lettermg A yellow and tom magazrne was found to represent therr successful maga zrne drrve Drggrng strll deeper the Prrates found that agaxn the class had changed then name, thrs trme to Junrors Early rn the fall Carol Rodgers Gunnar Enckson, Jrm Hall Shrrley Srerzan, and Dave Stutsman were elected to lead them through a very busy year Vvrth much excrtement the class chose therr rrngs and had a successful carnlval By frndrng an ax and some black grease paint rt was obvlous that the class had glven the play READY MADE FAMILY The Jumor year was closed w1th a dance called Starht Fantasy and a banquet gzven the class by therr mothers Before the Prrates were ready to leave they found the most rmportant treasures of all Those were the ones of the class s last year at Brrstol Hrgh Among them were traces of garlrc and lrmburger cheese wh1ch gave proof that the Freshmen had been properly mrtrated a battered play book t1tled THE ATOMIC BLONDE a lrst of the class offxcers wh1ch were Parks Wllson Buzz McConnell Sherrre Hemund, Shrrley Srerzan, and Carol Eby Along wrth these varrous thmgs were a pressed deep red rose that the class had prcked as therr class flower, swatches of maroon and whrte wh1ch turned out no be the class colors These rntellrgent Semors' as they were called then, had therr prctures taken ordered announcements and namecards The class wound up therr last year at Brlstol by takmg a trrp, and fmally baccalaureate and commencement They were then ready to put therr class motto rnto effect Class Wlll I Jrm Clmdamel, w1l1 my abrlxty to get a math major to the Checkley boys I Mary Ann Congdon w1ll my abxlrty to get C's rn conduct to anyone who rs crazy enough to talk all the tlme I Emaa Cox will my ablllty to study 1n study halls to Sharon Bontrager I Carol Eby, wrll my abrlrty to keep off the honor roll because of my conduct grade to Karlene Tavemer Gunnar Erlckson, w1ll my ab111ty to get along wrth Mrss Merryman rn study hall to Al Hess Gerald Garver, w11l my abrhty for obeyrng teachers to Ronnre Kaser m hopes he w1ll use rt I Sandra Carver, w11l my abrlrty to get C s 1n conduct to my brother Chuck I Jrm Hall w1ll my cherub smrle to Doug Srgsbee I Fred Hedrngton, w11l my abrlrty to grve speeches to John Berkey I Sherrre Hemund, wrll my abxlrty to have long fmgernarls and strll be able to type to anyone who can get away wrth rt I Buzz McConnell, wrll my helght to Karl Hememan I, Laura Mrller, will my abrlrty to get B's ln conduct, and stlll talk to anyone who can et away w1th rt I B111 Mrtchell w1ll my natural grace of movement to the present and future cheerleaders of B H S I Wayne Persmg, w1ll my abrlxty to get along wrth Mr Smlth to John Krrse I Sharon Rowe, wrll my posxtxon as co edrtor of The Voyager to anyone who would rather be court martraled l Charles Sherer, w1ll my superman outfrt to B111 Schrock I Shrrley Srerzan w11l my ab1l1ty to be treasurer of the class three years rn a row to anyone who crazy enough to take rt I, Romayne Slack, w1ll my abllrty to get out of classes to Betty Tubbs I, Judy Stover, wrll my abllrty to have battles rn bookkeeprng to anyone needmg experrence rn thrs partrcular krnd of warfare Dave Stutsman, w11l my ab1l1ty to partrcrpate rn sports to the Freshman boys I Myma Waddell, wxll my ab1l1ty to stay unattached to my sxster Sharon I Parks WIISOH w1ll my abrlrty to get out of class to the Junior boys I Ronme Wrlson, w1ll my naturally blonde haxr to Marrlyn Hostetter I Pat Zakrzewskl w1ll my edrtor s desk and my bottle of asprrlns to Becky Menges 16 C ll ll - . . .
