Sup erin dent MR. EDWARD P. TRAVERS It is with great pleasure that I extend to you. the graduating members of the Class of 1973, Bristol High School, heartfelt congratulations upon your successfully completing the requirements to receive a treasured diploma from Bristol High. This accomplishment is one which has taken you over twelve years to achieve and does not occur without due recognition. Surely, it is only the beginning of your adult life, but it is the foundation on which you will build the image that will be you. Whether you begin your career now or later by further study, you are an individual product of your private home and the public schools, an excellent blend of the young adult of our time. Success in terms of happiness will be yours if you make it so. Life work may come by choice and by preparation. It may also come by chance and work. In whatever fashion it arrives, you will be successful if you fulfill your role completely with a love for your occupational activity. I extend to you, as Superintendent of the Bristol Public Schools, blessings for your good health, good luck and happiness in the years ahead. Remember your school days and support your public schools as new citizens of our society. 18 Edward P. Travers

Take kindly the counsel of the years, gracefully surrendering the things of youth. Nurture strength of spirit to shield you in sudden misfortune. But do not distress yourself with imaginings. Many fears are born of fatigue and loneliness. Beyond a wholesome discipline, be gentle with yourself. 17
