As you know, many years of work have gone into the background planning and more recently into the organizational and physical plant plan- ning for this very fine high school. I am sure that you will always cherish the knowledge that you, the first graduating class, helped start the many traditions and helped establish what we have every confidence will be high standards in this new high school. All good wishes go to you as the first gradua- ting class ot Bristol Eastern High School. CARL A. MAGNUSON Superintendent of Schools Bristol, Connecticut 'Gd' iiumnfagt MR. PERRY What a privilege to be the first class to graduate from the new Eastern High School! But what a responsibility for a class - to set an example for all future classes! In its stewardship, the class of 1960 has more than iustified the high hopes held for it by the faculty. Though much of the senior year was marked by the use of incomplete facilities and lack of an opportunity to as- semble, members of the class of 1960 had a cooperative, helpful attitude toward all in- conveniences. They assumed a position of true leadership in the school, setting a good example for the younger students. GEORGE R. The Class of 1961 at BEHS has already shown itself capable of assuming the duties of leadership that will be assigned to them when the venerable seniors leave. Among the activities sponsored by the iunior class, the Junior Ca- orates Tom Homon at the iunior per and the Junior Prom stand out as the most fes- tive.
