Trees were up- rootedg the Taunton River overflowed its banks, and took its toll of vegetable gardens, The fine crop of silage corn was flattened and rendered almost useless. The fruit-laden trees in the orchard were sent smashing to the ground, the fruit scattered and battered about the farm.
