' ' VHMOumaan EXECUTIVE OFFICER LCDR Fredric C. Stein, a nativ e of Lockport, NY graduated from the University of IVlichigan with a Bachelor ' s degree in Mechanical Engineering. He was sub -54) as the Weapons Control Officer and then the Combat Systems Officer, the Naval War College as a student were he received his Master ' s Degree in National Security Affairs, and reported to the USS BRISCOE(DD977) as Executive Officer in June 2000. His personal awards include the Navy Commendation Medal (three gold stars), the Joint Services Commendation Medal, and various unit awards. LCDR Stein resides in VA with wife, Melisa, and son, Joshua.

COMMANDING OFFICER Commander Robert A. Bellitto, a native of Bronx, New York graduated from the United States Naval Academy in 1981. Commander Bellitto ' s initial sea duty was aboard USS MANITOWOC (LST-1180) as CIC Officer and Assistant First Lieutenant. Following his first tour, he served at the following commands: USS PHARRIS (FF-1094) as Gunnery and Anti-Submarine Warfare Officer, Surface Warfare Officer ' s School Command in Rhode Island where he was a Combat Systems Instructor, USS BRISCOE (DD-977) as Operations and Combat Systems Officer, Commander, Carrier Group Four as the Assistant Surface Operations Officer, Executive Officer aboard USS PETERSON (DD- 969), Executive Assistant to the Director, Theater Air Warfare on the staff of the Chief of Naval Operations in Washington, DC prior to assuming command of Briscoe in Apnl 2000. Commander Bellitto has received his second Masters Degree in Management from Troy State University. His personal awards include the Meritorious Service Medal, Navy Commendation Medal (4), and Navy Achievement Medal (3). COMMAND MASTER CHEIF Master Chief Petty Officer Jesse W, Willis was born in OIney, Texas and enlisted in the Navy in May 1972. He has served at the following commands: Training Squadron TWENTY-THREE as Legal Yeoman, Naval Legal Service Office San Diego, USS CONSTELLATION (CV 64), Naval Air Station Alameda, Califor- nia, and USS DWIGHT D. EISENHOWER (CVN 69). He has served as Command Master Chief at Naval Legal Service Office Norfolk, USS JOSEPHUS DANIELS (CO 27), Carrier Airbome Early Warning Squadron TWENTY-ONE, and Commander, Airborne Early Warning Wing, U.S. Atlantic Fleet. He reported to USS BRISCOE (DD 977) as Command Master Chief in Decem- ber 1999. Master Chief Willis is a graduate of the U.S. Navy Senior Enlisted Academy and was Outstanding Legalman of the Navy in 1977. He has earned a bachelor of science degree in business management from Chapman University in Orange, California and is qualified as an Enlisted Surface Warfare and Aviation Warfare Specialist. His personal awards include the Meritorious Service Medal with one Gold Star, the Navy Commendation Medal with four Gold Stars, and the Navy Achievement Medal. Master Chief Willis is married to the former Joan Marie Mossbarger of Piketon, Ohio. They have two children: Jesse W. and Stephanie Joy.
