THE NATIONAL ORGANIZATION FOR BOYS STUDYING VOCATIONAL AGRICULTURE This year proved to be a very good one for Brimfield's F.F.A. They went away to many contests and came home with many outstanding awards. Of the first year members, Colleen Rozene won the Star Greenhand award (1). Winners in the Sectional Foundation Award Competition were Walt Sauerwein for Horticulture, and Chuck Kells-tadt for Small Grains (2). At the Black Hawk Invitational Horse ludging Contest, Chris Staley and Mike Kristensen both won individual blue ribbons and Brad Hibbert placed with a white ribbon (3). Winning the Speech Contest was Alan Kellstadt (5). Another winner not pictured is Dave Carlson for the DeKalb Award, the outstanding senior in Agriculture. 3. 27

S.L.A. CAFETERIA HELP Service is a real part of many groups at B.H.S. This is particularly true for students in the S.L.A. (Student Librarian's Association) and the cafeteria help. Students in the S.L.A. help Miss Snow in both school libraries each semester. These hardy workers include Standing: Vance Weis-bruch, Kari Jones, K. C. lones; Seated: Sherri Woder, loanne McKown, lanet McKown, Leanne Mills, and Robin Croeper (2). When lunch times rolls around there is a rush of high school students to the grade school. They don't go over to eat however. The group helps Mrs. Mary Knowles, cafeteria supervisor (1), serve those great hot lunches to the grade school students.
