DEDICATION The Senior Class of Brimfield High School takes great pride in dedicating this 1975 Chieftain to Mrs. Norma Hanley. Mrs. Hanley has been teaching for fourteen years. She is an alumna of Brimfield High School, and graduated from Illinois State University. Prior to teaching in the high school, she taught fifth grade in Brimfield Grade School. Since she started teaching in the high school in 1966, she has been a sponsor of the Senior class and the Year book. Time away from work, centers around her family: Ken, who operates the Standard Service station in Kickapoo, and sons, Mike, 16 and Pat, 6. For her countless and unselfish contributions in helping with the yearbook, we dedicate this yearbook to her. 4

FOREIGN EXCHANGE STUDENT EDUARDO CASCANTE AZOFEIFA For the first time in two years, Brimfield is fortunate in having a foreign exchange student residing with a local family. Eduardo Cascante Azofeifa, a senior, is a native of San Jose, Costa Rica. Eduardo is now living with the Patrick O'Connell family of rural Brim-field. Eduardo’s favorite subject is history, and he enjoys a good game of baseball. In Costa Rica Eduardo's father works in the office of an electric company, and his mother is an average Costa Rican housewife. He has three brothers, Jose, twenty-four, Guillermo, twenty-three, and a twin brother, Francisco, eighteen. On November 18, Eduardo celebrated his eighteenth birthday in the United States. When asked about life in Brimfield he didn't know quite how to answer. Finally, he said, The people are nice, and the snow is very pretty, but it is just too cold. He thinks America is a great place, but he misses his family and friends in Costa Rica. 6
