Tim has been an active participant in such sports as baseball, basketball, track, and cross country; and he has belonged to the Lettermen's Club for four years, serving as its president when he was a junior. Also as a junior, Tim was class president and king attendant at Homecoming. Tim was the driving force behind the 1972-73 Junior-Senior Prom. He has been a member of the Pep Club for four years and has belonged to both the Spanish Club and the National Honor Society for three years. As a senior, Tim has served as Sports Head on the school newspaper staff. Tim has handled his responsibilities well, and through his perseverance in sports and his patience in school, he has proven himself to be a worthy recipient of this award! 28 D.A.R. Award Linda Corney. daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Corney of Brimfield, has been chosen as the 1974 recipient of the DAR Award. Linda has served four years in the FHA, as its president when a junior and as its secretary when a senior. She has also spent four years in the Spanish Club, and went to Mexico with a group from the Spanish Club last summer. She has been a member of the National Honor Society and Thespian Club since she was a sophomore, serving as the president for both in her senior year. She belonged to the Girl's Glee Club as a freshman and sophomore, to the GAA in her first three years of high school, and as a senior, she has participated in Student Council, the Chieftain staff, and has also served as vice-president of her class and as an office assistant. During her sophomore and junior years, Linda was included in the cast of the spring and fall Plays; she was also the assistant director in other plays. In addition, she has been on the newspaper staff for two years, and served as its editor. Linda has shown herself to be an excellent leader, and her good nature and exuberance distinguish her as an excellent choice for this award!
