GERALD CLUSKEY MR. PAUL GILLES MR. JACK SLOAN SUPERINTENDENT A principal does not have an easy job. He must have patience, devotion, ana of course, be willing to do a great deal of work. Our principal, Mr. Carl C. Jensen, has proven he possesses these qualities. His years at Brimfield High School have made him a vital part of school. His administrative ability and good humor have made him one of the most respected individuals in our community. SECRETARY The school office is a mighty busy place. There are letters to be typed, phones to be answered, and records to be kept and filed. Combine these duties with the requests and complaints of over a hundred students, and you have what could be a hectic situation. However, B.H.S. is fortunate in having a top flight secretary at the helm. Mrs. Jensen's calm and efficient manner of getting things done is a great attribute to our school. Her work often goes unnoticed, but it would be pretty difficult to get along without her. OUR FACULTY MR. WILLIAM CINNAMON B.S.—University of Illinois, University of Minnesota. Patty Foster, daughter of Mr, and Mrs. Earl Foster, is this year’s recipient of the annual DAR award. Chosen by the faculty, Patty has proven herself to be a diligent worker, an enthusiastic supporter of her school, and a true friend to all who know her. During her four years at Brimfield High School, she has been a popular cheerleader and a member of the FHA. Patty has been an active member of her class, and because of her high scholastic record, she also belongs to the National Honor Society. Patty, a member of the St. Joseph's Catholic Church, is certainly deserving of this award. Her traits of leadership dis-tinquish her as an outstanding citizen. Good Citizenship Randy Bridson, son of Mr. and Mrs. George Bridson, has been awarded the annual Good Citizenship award. For the last four years Randy's leadership has been proven by his ability in working to support his school and all its activities. His never-ending cheerfulness is but one of the numerous traits which makes him a deserving recipient of this award. Randy has been active in working for the goals his class and FFA Chapter have achieved. He is truly a great leader and citizen. Randy is a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church. 19 JUNIORS Larry Pillman, Pres. Kevin Hasselbacher, V. Pres. Lynn Hattan, Treas. Vicki Jones, Sec'y. ILLINOIS 43 Is this a Lifetime Guarantee for you? Far from it. A diploma is a sign of achievement. It s important. In fact, most employers today consider it pretty essential. But it's no guarantee. It won't get you a good job, or a new car. or any material thing. It doesn’t even guarantee that you can hold your head up when you look in a mirror. What counts is what you do now. You can just say. Okay, world, here 1 am w ith a diploma. hat are you going to give me? Or you can use the abilities you were born with and the knowledge you've gained so far -to make your life a worthwhile and useful one. This way takes effort, and ambition. But the rewards can be great. Today's world offers exciting opportunities. A diploma will improve your chances for success. But it's no guarantee.
