MOMENTS TO REMEMBER Vol. LXV Published by the American Yearbook Company BRIMFIELD HIGH SCHOOL Because he has become a part of the BRIMFIELD HIGH SCHOOL through his years of service to the student body, and because he possesses the qualities as an ideal teacher, we take pleasure in dedicating the 1962 CHIEFTAIN to MR. JENSEN. 3 Marilyn Binder, Editor Rena Johnson, Layout editor Ray Gelling, Photographer Mary Martzluf and Jere Blundy, Business Managers Mr. Jessen and Mr. Linn, Advisors When the last layout has been drawn, the last copy written, and the final proofs checked, deadline worries for the 1962 CHIEFTAIN staff are over. The staff has spent many fruitful hours to complete this annual. They hope everyone enjoys and long remembers it. BRIMFIELD VARIETY DRY GOODS Brimfield, Illinois Phone 2361 MIARS STANDARD SERVICE Brimfield, Illinois Phone 2311 5 Well known around Brimfield is our Principal, Mr. Jensen. As a friend or as a principal, he can't be beat in the opinion of most of the students. He holds meetings, interviews new teachers, makes announcements, peps up pep sessions, and frowns upon bad boys. Here too, his work is never done. There's always more to do, and he doesn't mind helping people with individual problems. Seniors can tell you this when college time rolls around. 0 MRS. JENSEN Her laugh and smile are familiar . . . Give her a typewriter, a telephone, and a problem, she's content! Let the office become noisy and she's very disturbed. Being the office secretary means real work, and there's plenty that Mrs. Jensen does in the Brimfield office. Left to Right, STANDING: Mr. Robert Carroll; Mr. Charles Hayes; and Mr. Fabian Cahill. SEATED: Mr. Joseph Blundy, Secretary; Mrs. Tom Spencer; Mr. Charles Cox, President; and Mr. Andrew Hauk. We, Americans, proudly boast of our free education. Those elected to this office must be courageous, de pcndable, and trustworthy. The highest standards of education, as well as many other school functions, lie in the hands of these members. The Board of Education deals with all school problems. We are grateful for their help and consideration in arriving at each decision.
