At the state Convention in Springfield in June, T. Best was elected Section IV Vice President and R. Higgs Section Reporter. In August the officers attended the Section Officers Training School at Henry. The highlight of the year was the trip by 19 Junior and Senior boys and Mr. Cox, advisor to Chicago on November Z7-29. Other social events were the FFA-FHA Wiener roast, FFA-FHA spring potluck, exchange party with Glasford, stag chilli supper, and sock dance. Section Foundation awards won by members wereg Beef-B. The Girls' Vocal Ensemble sang for such occasions as the Board-Fac- ulty dinner, P.T.A meetings, and other gatherings. During the course of the year the entire organization has memorized over a dozen differ- ent selections in two and three part harmony. The purpose of the association is to promote interest and participation in girl's athletic activities and to develop desirable practices of health and sportsmanship. Weekly meetingswere held after school. We attended two playdays and organized one,as well as entering the state basketball shooting contest.
