Pep Club This is the third year for the Pep Club at Brim-field High. Officers chosen by the group were Charles Cluskey, President; Mariella Cox, Vice-President; Nancy Emerick, Secretary; Gayle Meehan, Treasurer. The officers and the four cheerleaders formed the executive committee which led the activities of the club. The club has fifty-three active members. The Pep Club was divided into two groups which competed against each other in selling the remaining auto stickers. The losing team gave the winners a party. The whole school was included in the fun night. A meeting was held every afternoon before the basketball game. The group was under the direction of the Girls’ P.E. teacher. Miss Elaine Scan lan. The purposes of the Pep Club are to promote good sportsmanship and friendly relationship among schools and to improve the quality of cheering at oasketball games. G. A. A. A Girls’ Athletic Association was formed this year for the first time at B.H.S., under the direction, of Miss Elaine Scanlan, Girls’ P.E. teacher. The purpose of G.A.A. is to promote good sportsmanship and interest in athletics. By means of participation in different sports, any high school girl may obtain the number of points required for membership. Members must earn points to maintain membership and to receive awards. This year only the senior girls have been eligible to earn letters. The other girls received G.A.A. emblems for points they earned. The officers for this year have been: President.
