MATHEMATICS DEPARTMENT: Second row: Roger Van Buslcirk, Francis Steve, Catherine Morphy, Elswood Hill. first row: Olive Hunt, Hazel McKay, Donald Van Vechten, Eino Laakso, Antoinnette Hondelinlc, department head. The Math Department offers courses ranging in difficulty from Eighth Year Mathe- matics through Algebra, Geometry, Trigonometry, and Engineering Math. Stu- dents especially talented in mathematics may progress through advanced sections of Ninth, Tenth, and Eleventh Year Math to a college-level calculus course for seniors. This advanced placement course, when satisfactorily completed, gives the senior at BHS college credit.
