Donley is completing his nineteenth year of service to Brighton school, first as principal and now as superintendent. During this period, he has been largely responsible for Brighton's progress and for its enviable record among New York State schools. Combining his capability with a rare understanding, he has always been able to secure the cooperation of teachers and community, both essential to a successful school. In the general supervision of our school system, he is aided by Gordon Allen, principal of the high school, and Miss Alice Foley, principal of the grade school. 9 Mrs. Helen Yawman Secretary

The Board of Education of Brighton High School acts as the governing body functioning to elect otlicers, confirm faculty appointments, and manage other business. Presiding at its monthly meetings is president, Allen B. Gates assisted by Schuyler C. Wells, vice-president, who handles all school supplies and insurance. Familiar to all Brightonites is Mrs. lidward B. Miles who serves as secretary to the board. Responsible for supervising the financial business is C. Coapman, treasurer. L. Dudley Field is in charge of maintenance, while Arnold B. Swift manages transportation. We, the class of 1945 wish to express our sincere appreciation to the Board of Education for the excellent support they have given to the students and the faculty of our school. 8
