An impressive majority of the great edu- cators of today agree that a modern school is sadly incomplete without some expression of student self-government. This need is met at Brighton by the Student Council. Although the powers of our tribunal are, of course, limited, we still maintain that sense of democracy which is so important in our later life as citizens of a great republic. At the beginning of the school vear, elec- tions were held in which class representatives were chosen to act as delegates to the Con- gress, Robert Yates was elected to the position of council president.
