Study, before school or batw «n clasMi — time cannot waif. A world leader, wise men taught us the way to peace. V ' Research is not easy, but knowledge is not free. Scientific method — experiment, observe, record . , . ■,P i i VI K lvi B B ( ' ' ' I H t£ ' , — H ■ ' ' ' m M in the wor Id. We live in a world of wonder, niore strange than any dreams of the imagination. The spreading world around us holds truths, which, if we could understand them completely, would hold the keys to elevating man beyond disease and poverty and ignorance. But we must work and study with our minds open if we are to overcome the challenges which the world has never lacked offering to man. As we seek and study in the world, we become even more aware of the absolute need for man to become humble in order to wisely apply the knowledge which he finds. We stand on the threshold of the greatest future that man has e ver known — or we can destroy ourselves with a tragic misunderstanding of our role in the world.

In sharing our fun and laughter, we become aware of each person ' s uniqueness. Parties, a planned enjoyment. A face of laughter strikes a responsive chord in us in ourselves. Love, honesty, loyalty, integrity ... all are abstract concepts which we find only within ourselves. Within ourselves lies the power to discern good from evil, within ourselves is that extra something which makes us as different from the other creations as night is from day. In an effort to know ourselves, to understand what it is that makes us gay, happy, or melancholy, we look at our- selves and more and more realize that of all the creations, man is the most marvelous. We look from a distance, and we see that people can be alternately laughing and singing or serious and quiet. We try to under- stand ourselves, knowing that if we could imderstand the workings of our mind and our conscience which produce our ideals, then we could more easily find the key to our future.
