The morning of September I2 was bright and sunny. The stu- dents from far and near were on their way to B.Y.U. High to register for the 1949-50 school year. The years activities started with an orien- tation meeting in College Hall at nine o'cloclc. There we were in- troduced to the faculty, and Mr Clarke told us the procedure for registration. High. All those who were from near around were ri- ding their bicycles or walking to the high school to renew their old ac- quanintances. They came from far and near to join with their new class- mates to take The Trek of 1950 at B.Y.U. High. 7

After this orientation the Arts building halls were crowded with students trying to work out their schedules. While registering, we renewed our acquaintances with all our school friends, and talked over the coming school activities. Teachers hurried from room to room with their arms piled so high with papers it was almost impossi- hte to see their faces. Many lines formed. and before the day was over you were pushed into a line you knew nothing about. Registra- tion day will always he remembered as the most eventful day of our high school life.
