MISSIONS EXECUTIVE The Prayer Bands on the B.B.I. campus make up a very important part of student life. Provision is made for each student to become personally involved in the unified effort of Prayer Bands. The following areas: North America, Europe, Far East, South America, Middle East and Africa are represented in prayer once each week of the year. The purpose of meeting this way is to support missionaries through prayer group projects as well as the prayer efforts of students. Students are informed of the work of each field by means of literature, visiting missionaries and other missionary reports. A challenge is given each Thursday during the Missionary hour. The challenge also comes through other such areas as Missionary Conferences, conferrettes and Siminars. It is the aim of Prayer Bands to stimulate an interest, in regard to the work of the fields represented, in the heart of each student. (Eph. 6:18) Norm Watson Norm Watson, Missions Co-ordinator; Charlette Tilitzky, Secretary; Darryl Erickson, Asst. Missions Co-ordinator.

CHRISTIAN SERVICE COMMITTEE STANDING: LindaEagon, Larry Magnusson, Marv Penner, Norm Ganes. SEATED: Mr. W. Fox, Mr. E. Hiebert, Mr. C. Weinhauer, Mr. A. Lewis, Lisa Aubrey. CHRISTIAN SERVICE “That I may know him ...! (Phil. 3:10). “That I may open my mouth boldly to make known the mystery of the gospel, for which I am an ambassador... (Eph. 6:19, 20). Christian Service is the natural overflow of a heart filled by Jesus Christ and His righteousness. Likened to a man breathing, one inhales in the classroom, in dorm devotions, in various campus activities, and then, from an overflowing heart and life exhales through Christian Service assignments what has been learned. Breathing is a normal process with inhaling and exhaling dependent one on the other. Likewise, we get to know Him to make Him known. During the Fall Semester 1969 regularly assigned groups ministered to Senior Citizen’s homes in Regina and Moose Jaw; in the Training School (for mentally retarded) in Moose Jaw; in Bible Clubs in Regina, Belle Plain, Moose Jaw, Caronport and Chaplin; in youth groups at Belle Plain and Droxford; in Sunday Schools in Moose Jaw, Darmody, Chaplin and Caronport; student pastorates and preaching points in Moose Jaw, Mossbank, Darmody, Droxford, and Davidson; and Life-Line (street and cafe personal contact) ministry in Moose Jaw. Over 11,000 have been in attendance at these various meetings. At times a Christian Service assignment may seem like a small matter. However, assignments well done often lead to greater responsibilities and opportunities ordered by the Lord. The future for Briercrest students in the Christian Service outreach of the school is as bright as the promises of God. “He that goeth forth and weepeth, bearing precious seed, shall doubtless come again with rejoicing, bringing his sheaves with him. Ps. 126:6 C. Weinhauer Christian Service Director
