But you pull only one string. And nobody else can pull more than one! Which makes every co-op member just as important as every other one on election day—when members get to¬ gether to decide what ' s what and who’s who. You see, unlike other privately-owned corporations, only the members have anything to say about the way a co-operative is run. Ownership and control of a co-op¬ erative are based purely on patronage and use, not on the size of an individual member’s investment in stock. The only people who gain anything from a Co-op are those who use it—the people for whom and by whom it was built!
