Our four years at the State College at Bridgewater have been charac- terized by change in the world, on our campus, and, above all, in ourselves. We regret the passing of the small college — traditional Bridgewater — but the physical and intellectual growth prompted by a larger student body creates the exciting atmosphere in which we grad- uate. We, The Class of 1967, are a product of the traditions and the innovations at Bridgewater. We have learned not to be ministered unto but to minister as we have enjoyed the intellectual challenge stimulated by a larger selection of major and minor fields of study and a greater variety of electives within our chosen fields. We have developed and will continue to develop intellectually just as the college has expanded and will continue to expand physically. The Conant Science Building and the new dormitories, the anticipated stu- dent union and the new library building — all these are evidence of physical growth which parallels our intellectual progress. Memories of the old Bridgewater will always linger in our minds. No longer will graduating seniors recall freshmen labs in the history de- partment, lunches eaten in empty classrooms, or classes in the men ' s and women ' s dorms. These belong only to the small classes. We dedicate this yearbook to the last of the small classes at Bridge- water State College — The Class of 1967. 4
