0ur IJWt The past four years we have shared the best of times. B-R has shown us the meaning of the word responsibility. Seemingly everlasting mo- ments often became a blur in the mind. But none the less this period was indeed without tranquil- ity and therefore all the more noteworthy. The past is most likely to be our only defense against the future. Ibtbicatioii With sincerity and love, we the class of 1987 proudly dedicate this year- book to Mr. Richard Scar- ano. As a devoted science in- structor, Mr. Scarano has gone far beyond the stan- dard limits of a teacher. He has reached out a helping hand and lent a sympa- thetic ear whenever any student needed a friend to confide in. This man, known by his students as Doc , has dedicated his time and en- ergies to the pursuit of academic excellence while maintaining a pleas- ant environment to learn in. In addition, he has helped us to grow from ig- norant freshmen to well-in- formed, mature adults. Because of his charis- ma, spark, and mischie- vous grin, Mr. Scarano is well-liked by both faculty and students. He will cer- tainly be forever held dear in the hearts of everyone he has touched. It is indeed an honor to say; x,Doc, this one's for you. At this time we would like to take a moment to thank Mr. Armand Gen- dreau for sharing his time and wisdom with his stu- dents. Being sensitive to in- dividual wants and needs, Mr. Gendreau always lent a helping hand whether it was a personal problem or one dealing with U.S. His- tory. It is our sincere hope that he has a happy and prosperous life. As the physician for all sports' teams and a faithful football fan, Dr. Hector Douglass showed us the meaning of the word, devotion. This well-liked man, continued to undertake the responsibilities of medicine even after his retire- ment. We would like to thank him for his committment to us and our school. We also wish to remember Mrs. Betty Dowd. We will miss her smile which greeted us in the office. For thousands of kids Betty meant the spirit of B-R. We wish her a happy retirement. 16
