The Future Homemakers of America is a nationwide organization. It's the largest vocational youth organization in the United States. Here at West our FHA chapter is a very active club both on a state and national level. At state level we are very proud to have both the state president, Nancy Pernini, and secretary, Sharon Oppelt, in our club. Nationally Bridgewater West FHA was represented at the National Convention when three of this yearis seniors went to Chicago, Illinois last July. We hold many activities during the year trying to improve ourselves, our school and our community. At Christmas time we held a party for the Senior Citizen Club in Raritan. We helped the State Treasury by contributing to the State bazaar, and we held a garage sale to clear up our debts. Other projects also include the Varsity dinner, cooking contest, FHA Week, State Convention, officer elections and we hope to start a new program called the Exchange Program. It will work just the same as the student council program only we will exchange FHA club members for a day. FHA is a vital organization with a lot to give, and is tremendous fun.
