The choir is one of the most active clubs at West. Under the direction of Mr., Tueher, the Mixed Choir puts on Winter and Spring concerts. The Advanced Choir, a select group made up mostly of upperclassmen, travels to other schools, churches, and many other outside affairs while preparing for the school concerts. The Lorelei fgirls ehorusj and the Cavaliers tboys ehorusj are two smaller groups who appear at the concerts and go to other outside events. The students in ehoir have a chance to get involved in many musical activities. The Opera Festival, held in early spring, gets much support by West students and many solos are won. West also has a number ol students who belong to the All-State Chorus. This year the delegates were Kathy Henry, Debbie Laibach. Denise Vogelbaeh, Carol Mutehler, Jennie and Nina Ciaehero, Debbie Benton, Bay Kunkel, John Westlake, Lenny Spagnolo, and Cary Williams. Of these students, Cary Williams, Kathy Henry, Debbie Laibach, Jenny Ciachero, and Bay Kunkel were chosen to participate in the all Lorelei Debbie Benton, Pat Berth, Toni Caruso, Pat Calvaeky, Valerie Cara, Cathy Geren, Donna German, Jennie Ciaehero, Nina Ciaehero, Aliee Goodman, Ruth Hausen, Kathy Henry, Tamara Klien, Bonnie Krampert, Debbie Laibaeh, Susan Naar, Linda Powelson, Naney Sehiefer, Cathy Supp, Denise Vogel- baeh, Gretchen Vogelbaeh, Ann Marie Wit- tick. With the goal of helping the faculty and students, the members of this club first learn the basics of handling the machines. When this is accomplished the members are able to tape classrooms, special events and sports activities. Under the leadership of Mr. Jochen, the members work for the betterment of the school by taping such things as classroom situations, where teachers can then review the tapes for different teaching techniques, and sports events, where the athletes can see themselves and correct their mistakes. A club of many facets, the Biology Club, has once again, become part of the extracurricular activities at West. Field-trips, films, and speakers are numerous. Landscaping around the school and work within the community are also being conducted. Mr. Stapleton has skillfully guided this young club into productivity.
