, ,, ,.,,,,.v.u..,M Wrestling Coach PowelI's wrestling team began a building year in 1970, as there was only one senior on the team, MVP Clete Geiger, and still achieved a four and ten record. Among the individual achievements included John De Biase's capturing a Silver Medal in the Delaware Valley Regina! Freshman Tournament, and com- ing in as a finalist in the Bound Brook Frosh and Soph tournament, Jeff MiIler's winning ofthe Bound Brook Frosh and Soph tournament and Bruce Tanzi's finish in the District Wres- tling tourney. All this should prove enough of better things to come. 35

Coach Timko's swimming team completed another successful year, as they finished with a 13-2 record under the leadership of senior captains, Eric Edgerton and Ken Miller. The Minutemen set many records, including new marks in the 200 yd. freestyle, 100 yd. butter- fly, and 100 yd. freestyle by Peter Turekg in the 200 individual medley and 100 yd. backstroke by Eric Edgerton, and as a team, the mermen broke the previous record inthe 200 yd. med- ley relay and the 400 yd. freestyle relay. Filling out a well-balanced squad were George Bate- man, Alan Douglas, Jim Merriam, and Dennis Rimides.
