“Sophomore Class This fall, 1950, we returned to school to find we had the largest class in B.H.S.. All fifteen of us thought we had the best class, but the teachers seemed to disagree with us at times. The members were: Larry Bauer, Gary Bond, Frank Cole, Jacquelyn Day, Mary Lou Dwyer, Ruth Gerside, Lewis Gipple, Jo Golly, Rex Bight, Marlene Kniep, Joy McCenn,Peul Prichard, Edward Schrader, Norma Sinner, and Richard Vetterick. At the end of the second six weeks we were joined by Joyce Johnson to raise our class members to sixteen. Miss Donnelly is our class sponsor and we elected the following officers: President ---- --------------------------------- Jackie Day Vice-President ------------ ---- - -------- Eddie Schrader Secr etary-Tr easure --------- ------------- J o Golly Reporter ------------------- ----------------- Paul Prichard Our subjects ere, Engllshll, World History, Geometry, and Agriculture or Home Ec. Mr. Hofmeister teaches Engl1shII and Miss Donnelly teaches our Geometry. Our teacher for World History and Agriculture is M . Jones and Hrs. Jones teaches Home Ec. Three Sophomore girls made the first team in basketball. They were, Marlene Knlep, Norma Sinner, and Ruth Garside. No boys made the first team in boy's basketball, but Ed Schrader and Frank Cole saw a lot of action. All most all of the second team was made up of Sophomores. Lewis Gipple, Frank Cole, and Paul Prichard were on the first team in baseball. Most of the Sophomores went out for music taught by Mrs. Jones. Marlene Kniep, Joyce Johnson, and Larry Bauer had the honor of singing in the music festival at Creston. Rex Hight was absent the dey this picure was taken.
