L F H S Band The Semor Band IS composed of twenty five members Thxs last year the band has been quite successful We organized a band club the f1rst of the school year The electxon of offxcers were as follows Presxdent Mildred Mlller Vlce Presldent Norma Plckrell Secretary Owen .Tensen Treasurer Norlne Brown Lxbrarxan Don Bolton The band played at the home basketball games and xt was greatly ap preclated by all For xts projects this year the band has sponsored pro grams at the school The band axded by the Fontanelle Enterprxse Club of Busmess and Professwnal People purchased new un1forms thls year On April 1 1950 the Instrumental Contest was held m Greenfield Those partlclpatmg were Tom Burg Barztone Solo Nor me Brown P1ano and Saxo phone Qumtet composed of Patty Root Alto Roberta Hughes C Melody Phylhs Lorenz E Baritone and Glen Gourley Tenor The band went to the contest Aprll 15 1950, at Guthrze Center They feel that they have had a very success ful year The band wlll lose mne members from the Senlor Class The Jumor Band IS composed of fifteen members orgamzed for begmners ln hzgh school and for the elementary grades Both bands are under the leaderslnp of Mr Donald Frxdley 40
