Class I-Izstory In September, 1946 thxrty young people, somewhat uneducated gathered together for a tour of the planets The followxng people carne from Mxss Schroder s room Rlchard Bradford, Kay Dodds Glen Gourley, Leonard Petersen Bob Purdy Bernard Sheets Don Westphal, Collxe Dennis, Beverly Edwards, Mildred Hagler, Exleen Marckmann, and Mlldred Mxller Those who caxne in from the country were Ivan Bogma Don Bolton Bruce Brown, Donald Goetz, Laurence Jensen Carl Kxngery Ivan Miller Lyle Mlller, Ward Neff Frank Russell Margaret Russell Betty Bond Roberta Carns Frances Langguth Phyllis Lorenz, Opal Moats Fae Murray and Eleanor Wemhelmer At the controls were Supermtendent H G Anderson and Prxnclpal P P Sulllvan The remamder of the crew were Mrs Jessie Olsen Mlss Jane Shoemaker, Mlss Kathryn Krmpotlch, and Mrs Ann Laxzure Our flrst stop was Mars After looking around Mxldred Hagler, and Frank and Margaret Russell lxked xt so well that they declded to stay We p1cked up four hltch hlkers Dallas Purdy Joyce Harlan, Eyvonne Arterburn, and Marvm Warner who con txnued wlth us on our Journey The begmnmg of our tenth year found us at Jupxter Here we pzcked up Harold some changes ln the crew There was a complete change over with the exceptlon of Prlncxpal P P Sullivan Our new crew included Supermtendent Anthony Blankers, Mxss Annabelle Klmsey, Mrs Anthony Blankers, Mr Bruce Eshelman Mr Charles Kuchan and Mr Wlllzam Cadwell Carl K1ngery Ward Neff, Bob Purdy Bernard Sheets, and Don Westphal went on an explormg trlp and missed the rocket so we had to leave them there We arrived at Saturn at the begmmng of our eleventh year Part of our crew were attracted to this planet and we had to make a few changes The new crew members were Miss Maxine Drake and Mr Joseph Mueller Harold Purdy and Jarnes Carmichael got lost and we had to leave them Mrs Blankers was offered a better posltxon and flew back to earth on a specxal plane Mrs Lorrame Homan took her place at the controls After we left Saturn we dxscovered a stowaway, LeRoy Jessen We contmued on our Journey and arrxved at Neptune as our twelfth year began Two of our crew members, Mr Cadwell and Miss Drake parachuted back to earth and we had to hire two new members Mrs Leonard Llndqulst and Mr Donald Frldley took over thexr places at the controls Shxrley Hughes Jomed our Semor Class on our tour of the planets as she wanted to come back and lwe on the earth Smce we were now at the end of our Semor year we decxded to come back to earth and contxnue down the road of hfe We feel that It has been a worth whlle tmp and that we have learned somethmg whxch will stay wlth us the rest of our hves 14 .
