The New Breed Today's college student is one of a new breed. Living in the space age has made him aware of the need for tremen- dous intellectual ability and achievement. Awareness of the rapidly shrinking world has emphasized the need to re- late to others in satisfying ways while still maintaining his own individual personality. He has lived in an age of cultural opportunities and appreciates beauty and charm. He is proud of his college and enthusiastic and spirited about its athletics. r In these ways, then, the modern collegian is different. The Bridgewater student is typically unique from the col- lege student of the past, academically, socially, culturally, and athletically. The 1968 RIPPLES pictures the chal- lenges and accomplishments of these unique students, THE NEW BREED.
