As in the past, the absence of a gym in which to practice was a big handicap. The only victory was against the Alumni, but the team rated very high in spirit and clean playing. High scoring honors, once again, went to Captain Paul Kuphal. All members of the team displayed great team-work and fair play during each game. These factors make the boys outstanding on any field.

Team members are as follows Vivian Opdycke Dianne Anderson Betty Pursell Betty Conrad Carole Litzenberger Marion Heyer Lorriane Herstine Theresa Eccher Kathryn Sweeney loanne Kline Eleanor Hippauf Esther Melchor Girl's Basketball Among the new sports added to Nockamixon's athletic scene this year, girls' basketball made an appearance to play an abbrevi- ated pick-up schedule with teams in this area. The team was managed and coached by Mrs. Schaffer. Among the stand-outs who shone in the few games against opponents of our size were Vivian Opdycke, Betty Pursell, and Eleanor Hip- pauf. Both the team and coach deserve a well done on their season, played with few practice sessions on an outdoor court. Each game brought out new surprises and plenty of action for all who witnessed the games.
