NEWS REEL The publishing and distribution of the Newsreel is a much awaited event at N. H. S. Besides the regular publication, something new has been added--a mimeographed sheet of games, puzzles, humour, and poetry. Mrs. LeVVorthy's able supervision has indeed enriched the club. GLEE CLUB Xvith Nlr. Iohn DeSilver as director, the glee club has grown by leaps and bounds to its present proportions and to the delight and plaudits of all. At Christmas the Club had a beautiful choral program, in the true spirit of the season. An operetta is planned for spring. CForty-three?

fForty-twoj i l w STUDENT COUNCIL The Student Council is one of the most important organizations in any high school. Its purpose is to bring about a better understanding of problems that confront the students. The student council has been very active in Nocka- mixon High. Officers are as follows: Q President, Helen Antoni, Vice-President, Alice Moninghotfg Secretary, Alice Haneyp Treasurer, Darlene Whitman: Representatives, Patsv Rufe, Fred Troutt, Alternates, Betty Conrad, Arlene Schiable, Charles Usner, Alfred Aiichener. SA FETY PATROL Safety Patrol is synonomous with efficiency and good natured but firm direction. Bridgeton-Nockamixon greatly appreciated the work which its Safety Patrol has done under the capable leadership of Nlrs. Schaffer. Nlembers are as follows: Vivian Opdycke, Captain, Iohn Blair, Lieutenant: Carole Litzenberger, lliargaret Hippauf, Ruth lWcGrew, Ioanne Kline, Theresa Eccher, Harold Gruver, Norman Lutz, Edward Phillips, Betty Pursell, and Peggy Houseworth.

GIRUS GAME CLUB Mrs. Schaeffer, as sponsor of the Girl's Game Club, has begun a girls' basketball team. The club spent many pleasant hours dancing during the in- clement winter weather, and in spring embarked on their annual softball train- ing. Forty fourj HANDICRA FT CLUB The handicraft club, under the ex- cellent guidance of Miss Foellner com- pleted many novel articles, and several really beautiful pieces this year, includ- ing some woven belts and clay objects. FUTURE FARMERS OF AMERICA The F. F. A. club is an integral part of the vocational agriculture course. lt is an organization of high school boys who wish to improve their social and farm business relationships through group activities. The local chapter is affiliated with county, state and national organizations which function to set up practices andtgoals from time to time.
