Safety Patrol 'lihe Patrol was set up to promote order, salety and courtesy in the school, on playgrounds, and on huses. ln an ellort to reach that goal this year they have drawn up a set ol' rules and regula- tions, hoth lor students and patrol tnent- hers. By proper cooperation ol' all slll- dents, and hy enforcement ol these rules, it was felt that a hetter school situation would be obtained. During' the school year 19418-lil-19, Bessie Lowe has servetl as Captain, with -Iohn lilair as l.ieu- tenant. Newsreel Club The News Reel has heen in existence at Nockantixon since N28 and is pulm- lished four times a year. 'l'he newspaper is a tnenlher ol' the Pennsylvania School Press Association and ol' the floltnnhia Scholastic Press Association. 'l'he News Reel won the second prize in l!H84l9tl9 contest. The purpose ol' the News Reel is to give students an inner glimpse ol' what other grades and schools are doing. the faculty advisor is l.ois l.eXVot-thy. Student Council rlilll' student council. again under the direction ol Nlr. lfink, was a shining' lac- tor this year in that it did such an ex- cellent job ol' sponsoring the Nlarch ol lJlIllCS.H liesides the several lortnns at different schools to which the student council sent representatives, they also maintained a stttdent court.
