Z.-Xlll'I'l'll GLOSS A rt rxxizi, mimi' .ff Science 4--f 'CS af ' 'y 1 l A teacher is a person zrith at touch of immortality, one who because of his influence upon the lives of others lives far beyond his span of mortal years, one who leaves upon the sands of time footprints that guide a young mind to a life of service and achievement. Everyone-at one time or another-is a teacher. Parents in daily contacts with their children are teaching con- stantly: teaching the baby to walk, teaching the young fry to swim, to fish, to singg teaching habits of living and thinking, sometimes by precept and sometimes by example. Children teach one another at their playg business col- leagues teach one another in their professional associations, artists are drawn to young people with talentg clergymen are engaged in one of the noblest forms of teaching. Why does this happen? Because we all sense, directly or indirectly, consciously or unconsciously, that to leave a vestige of oneself in the development of another gives us a touch of immortality. Through this we find new and more impelling reasons for being, for making of our allotted three score years and ten a pattern for others to follow. Edwin Harris, Sr., and Edwin Har- ris, Jr., share common interests in baseball, radio, hunting, and a bit of mathematics.
