rs, a'CIi R , ' x 'N 1 Q. Principal Above and behind every school activity is a firm leader, administrator and adviser. A friend to teachers and pupils alike, he is ready to assist when- ever he is needed. He has become the backbone of all school projects, able to do anything to which he sets his tall mind and body. Justin H. Hess, a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania, the former principal of Pleasantyille High School, became our principal this past Septem- ber. During his first year with us he has become a living symbol of our high school, cognizant of our problems, interested in our achievements. Carefully adjusting the relationships between staff and stu- dents and the community, he supervises and coordi- nates the affairs of the school. Resolute in his actions and his ideals, sympathetic and friendly at all times, Mr. Hess is a man to whom we look for encouragement and inspiration in every phase of our school experience. Mr. Hess finds helpful the sugges- tions of Mrs. Dorothy Cliff, who has had many years of experience and associations with students.
