Board of Education The community group most vital to our school system is the Bridgeton Board of Education whose membership is composed of residents of the city extremely interested in the education and social adjustment of young people in the Bridgeton area. It is their duty to see that qualified administra- tors are secured, that suitable teachers are employed, and that available facilities are put to the best use. They must meet the standards set by the State Department of Education. They must also see that our schools comply with the requirements set by the academic and professional schools to which our graduates apply. By directing financial matters through proper channels, they see that funds are provided for building maintenance, teachers' salaries, and basic educational equipment. As we look back over our four years at Bridge- ton High School, we realize that many oppor- tunities have been made available to us through the interest and cooperation of these Bridgeton men and women so inter- ested in our welfare. Our school has been greatly improved because of each member's willingness to devote much time and effort to his responsibilities. We are most apprecia- tive of their efforts in our behalf and for their contributions to our school life.
