jo Me C4154 o 1941: Ever since the early days of colonial America we have been teaching our children that our country is one of opportunity. To me, that point of view is not complete. We do not secure a persons interest, affection and loyalty for what We give to him but rather for what We allow that individual to give to us. There is an elementary urge in all of us to Want to have some cause outside of ourselves toward which we can give our deepest affection and most devoted loyalty. To you who are members of this year's Senior Class of Bridgeton High School-to you who have been given so much by your home, your church, your schools, and your friends- I Welcome your invitation to express in print an idea I have repeatedly expressed orally: The United States is not only a land of opportunity, it is also a land of responsibility. Blessed are you because you were privileged to be born in a land of responsibility! BOARD OF EDUCATION RUFUS S. RICHARDS, PERCY W. OWEN, President Vice President EARL L. MCCORMICK F. WILLIAM COX 1 I
