Foreign Language Festival The French class showing their display. French class working on their display The 12th annual Foreign Language Festival too place February 16, 1985 at NWCC in Powell, Wyo ing. The day began with registration. We wer each given a folder and a naae tag. After presentation we were divided into groups to tak our written and oral tests. For lunch we at foreign foods such as tacos, quiche and a des sert. A Mariachi band froa Los Angeles, Cali fornia performed for us. We were then divide into groups according to language. In thes groups we put on saall skits and then watched ■ovie before receiving our awards. Twenty-seve Bridger students attended the festival. Ther were ten in the French I written contest, two i the French II written contest, three in tl French III written contest, two in the French 1 oral contest and two in the French III or contest. The awards are as follows: writt French I excellent, Jennifer Downs, Shar Hutzenbiler, Carla Lehaan, Juli Hauge and Li; Nudd, French II written superior, Maja Hoi French III excellent. Sherry Zieske and Shat Ostwald, superior, Jerrie Stringer, French 1 oral, superior and a trophy, Maja Hok. T1 group also received a trophy for their particip; tion in the cultural events by aaking a papei aache aap of France along with reports on variot cities and regions. They also put on Goldilocl and the Three Bears and perforaed three Fren dances. 25

26 Academic Fair The Acadeaic rair was held March 28 1985. Every eleaentary student was required to enter one project under one of three catagories (Art, Science, or Literature). There was no restric- tion however on the nuaber of projects you ■ ay enter. There was one Grand Chaapion was awarded to Susan Althoff for her science project titled Molds . Oh! This is a nice one.
