Halloween Carnival This year at Halloween the Student Council held a Carnival at the Den. The Student Council asked each class at the High School and other clubs to enter fun booths for the kids. They also had a costume contest and a jack-o-lantern carving contest. In the attic they had a haunted cave. The night ended well and the kids had a lot of fun. 18

Meet the Candidates The senior P.A.O. class spon- sored the 1984 Heet the Candi- dates . There was much preparation by the class itself. Each person was in a special committee respon- sible for soaething. Connie Fredrickson, Naja Hok, and Brenda Peterson lined up all of the candi- dates. There were 7 candidates and Senator Max Baucus even caae. It was a huge success. Afterwards everyone stayed to talk and have cookies which were donated by the Brjdger Business Association. CarfcUoULZt - A Maja and Brenda meet Senator Baucus. Candidates appearing were: Mona Nutting Gary Spaeth Bob Rowland Todd Baugh Blair Jones Doris Popplar Max Baucus County Representative County Representative County Commissioner District Judge District Judge Supreme Court Justice Senator Rules: 1. Each candidate will have a 10 minute presentation. 2. There will be 5 minutes for questions from the audience. 3. Candidates do not directly confront each other. 4. Candidates give their point of view in the allotted time. 19
