Senior Prophecies We, the class of 1976, have taken it upon ourselves to gaze into our crystal ball of mystery and forecast the future. In the future we see Sid Alexander working at the Warren Cafe with her family and husband Ernie, the little bee boy, who works with his hives of bees behind the Cafe. We see Bill Asbury many years from now carrying our groceries at a run-down IGA store; a decrepit old man riding an old broken-down 500 cc Honda. Today is a special day because he receives his merit award from the Union of Bagboys for service above and beyond the call of duty. What's this? It's Admiral Sam Ausen leading his troops along the beach picking up good-looking WAVES. Hit the beach, boys! Here we see bachelor and student Darrell Bailey, at home in his log cabin in Upper Polockia, after a long day of harassing his professor, teaching his seven snotty-nosed kids how to use infinity as an integer. We foresee Mark Bra bee as the lead professor of physics at Harvard University, with Mr. Fox as his assistant, developing the secret weapon that will enable him to fulfill his life-long dream of taking over the world. Here we see Terry Brown, former theatrical star of Bridger High, and she's finally made it to Broadway. Al- though she doesn't have a lead part, she sure doesn't perform any dirty roles—she's the new cleaning lady. Mari Cowger is a big-time rancher now, who rides strictly white Mustangs on her many-acres dude ranch. She's developed quite a reputation for her dedicated work on her women's lib farming campaigns---hang in there, Mari! In the future we see Gail DeRudder, still hanging around Ftomberg, but driving in her hot green Mustang to Kansas every other weekend to see Stevie Wonder. In five years, we will see John Hall as a ski instructor at Pleasant Valley. Here he comes doing fall-line pin- wheels and a half-angle traverse. John always did get them a little mixed up. The Bugle Boy, Pemmer Halvorsen, is still blowing his beloved trumpet, this time for his flourishing under- taker business. Pemmer has brought tears to the eyes of many with his rendition of Taps at funerals. In ten years we see Dick Hill, still living in Bridger, working very hard to keep his combine held together long enough to combine his crops and his stump-broke heifer in shape. Rita Idler is happily married to her old high school sweetheart, Mike O'Rourke. Every day when Mike comes home he greets her with I Been Working on the Railroad. Rita just smiles; she is very busy taking care of the twelve little bundles of joy that the stork has brought them. We see Stan Laber in the future all tangled up in his calf rope, in the Little Britches Rodeo. Bruce Baby Face Leslie has become a notorious bank robber, and his pink Cadillac is famous throughout the land. Although Bruce smokes cigars and is such a bad boy, we will always remember him by the affectionate nickname Puddles. We foresee Bob Muller managing a Gamble's store in Warren. In the back room we see Bob sitting at his desk still whizzing along on his electric typewriter at two words per minute with his faithful black and white cat upon his lap. Yellowstone Park has kept Curt Peterson hopping for the last ten years. Ranger Curt was recently retrieved from Morning Glory Pool after consuming a case of vodka awarded him by the Park Party Society for perfect attend- ance . As they pulled him out of the geyser Curt remarked, I'll drink to that! Hmm—and what do we have here? Is that Tom Schultz under that cow? Why yes, ofcourse. Tom now works hard every day on his uncle's milk farm. The job is tough; milking all those cows by hand, but Tom is good with his hands. And besides, he gets all the milk he can drink. Looks like Tom has finally made it big. Get that milk, Tom! Riding off into the sunset is JoAnn Stevenson on her faithful goat, Lightning. She is Grand Rodeo Queen of the World. Along with her rodeo career, she is happily married to Cowboy Larry and is busy raising five young cow- kids. It isn't easy, you know, teaching your kids to yodel. In the future, not too far from now, we see Sandy Skorupa selling a used green and white Rambler to her little brother at Sandy's Used Rambler Sales. Running around with her airline hostess uniform on, we see Vicki Taylor trying to get the little old ladies and their husbands headed in the right direction; and by the way, Vic is still waiting for that special someone to sweep her off her feet and fly her to a paradise she has always dreamed of. The Coco Club is doing a smashing business since it hired its latest go-go dancer Luscious Laurie. Miss Temple majored in entertainment at Powell Community College. Take it away, Laurie! Here we see Tom Weisgerber at age 38. He has just finished Medical School and has already setup practice at-- where else?--the local tavern. Here we see Russ Fred Wilkerson talking to the National President of IGA Inc. He is presently trying to talk him into opening a branch of this store to selling calculators, as Russ is a salesman for Texas Instruments. We also see his wife teaching their four kids how to find the reciprocal of O on the new XR 125. We foresee Robyn Young (alias Mrs. Ron Chini) rummaging through the alley behind Duffy's. She's draining the beer left in the old beer bottles into a bucket to take home to Ron. But Ron doesn't have to worry because Robyn gets drunk on one beer, so there will be plenty for him. m Veni-Vidi-Vici l 1
