Assisting the school books were four freshmen from the Home Economics Dept., Cindy Alexander, Terry Brown, Gail DeRudder and Sandra Skorupa. Mr. Richard Bell was Master of Ceremonies. A novelty musical group, consisting of Roger Hauge, Richard Bell, Pemmer Halvorsen and Bud Stahley provided several musical numbers. The speaker of the evening was Mr. Dan Marinkovich, principal of the Custer Co. High School in Miles City, and one of the directors on the Montana High School Association. Mr. Arthun presented football letters to the following boys: Scott Marney, Tom Jordan, Don Schultz, Rick Drain, Vance Peregoy, Dean Hayden, Andrew Jackson, Craig Richards, Jim Bateson, Walt Larsen, Bryan Currie, Doug Hayes, Dan Pfiefer, Bruce Ochs, Dan LaFrance and Mike George. Mr. Hauge presented basketball letters to the following boys: Andrew Jackson, Jeff LaFrance, Tom Stahley, Don Schultz, Rich Drain, Dean Hayden, Jim Bateson, Walt Larsen, Bryan Currie, Doug Hayes, Dan Pfeifer and Kip Hodges. Re- cipients of Track letters were: Dean Hayden, Andrew Jackson, Tony Kelsey. Manager letters in football went to: Kip Hodges and Bill Asbury, Don Dunbar and Curt Handeland received manager letter in Basketball. Mr. Pinnick presented basketball letters to the following girls: Peggy Jordan, Pam Larsen, Debra Sundberg, Sherry Brown, Karyn Ottolino, Janet Wham, Julie Judkins, Becki Kidwell, Nancy Stevenson, Dorcas Sundberg and Debbie Wham. Girls track letters were given to Cathy Vanderloos and Sherry Brown. Miss Pankratz presented cheer leading awards to Janet Wham, Debra Sundberg, Peggy Jordan and Donna Bratsky. In addition to the football and basket- ball trophies received in district and Divisional, Mr. Hauge presented a plaque received from the Bridger Fans for 4th place in the state Basketball Tournament. The High School Association did not award a 4th place trophy this past year. SPECIAL AWARDS The Bridger High School has been informed by the Scholor- ship and Loan Committee at the University of Montana that Deane Bell is a recipient of the Haynes Worthy Schol Award. This award is a scholorship which is based on High Scholastic Achievement and test scores. The Bridger High School Guidance Department is also pleased to announce that Juniors, Karyn Ottolino and Jim Bateson have received scholorships for advance study this summer. Karyn has received financial aid through the National Science Foundation to study Oceanography and Marine Biology at Scripps Instituation of Oceanography, University of California in Lajolla, Calif. Jim's Scholorship is for the study of Advance Chemistry at the Andover Summer Session, Phillips Academy, Andover, Massachusetts. Bridger Bonanza Thursday, May 1972 BHS Students Excel AWARDS NIGHT The Bridger High School Awards Night Program was held at 8:00 p. m., May 17th in the High School Gymnasium. F.F.A. and Athletic Awards were passed out earlier at the two Banquets. Recipients of Individual Awards were: F.F.A.
