Thanks also goes to those who gave me the faith and courage to edit this book. Many times the going was rough and it looked as if there would be no annual. It was during these times that I wanted to give up but some were always there to give me an extra push, telling me I could do it and then standing behind me. A final thanks goes to the merchants who really made this annual possible by helping to finance it, to the administrators and faculty of BHS, for their cooperation and help, to Mr. Laing, who took all individual and group pictures, to Mr. Elliot for his understanding and patience in advising our staff. Within these pages you will find memories relived in pictures of the past year at BHS. The comments contained are to help you understand what each organization does. As I leave BHS I find a tear in my eye. Everyone has been so helpful in forming our foundation for life. Good luck and best wishes to the yearbook staff and graduation class of 1970. 3 Yvonne Anderson Editor It is not darkness you are going to, ‘ for God is Light. Coach's Comment As coach of the Scouts this past season I am nothing less than pleased with the team as a whole. Our experience and size was overbalanced by the teams desire to play. The boys who started this past season have taken a large step toward manhood through their sportsmanship and personal sacrifices. Mr. Arthun served as a very capable assistant and should be credited for much of the success. The Yearbook is really a portrayal of the activities of the school year in picture. Everyone has to work very hard in order to put out a suc- cessful yearbook. The staff, headed by Yvonne Anderson, deserve a great deal of credit toward this endeavor, and the thanks of the entire student body. In addition, the sponsors are to be thanked for their generous support. Without them, there would be no yearbook. 42 43 Band Oboe:K. Ottolino. Piccolo: M. Elvers. Clarinet: C. Kaiser, V. Nelson, J. We also hosted one of the most successful Tri- County Festivals ever held, with some 700 band students from 3 counties present. This past spring our concert band received a superior rating at the district music festival in Billings. We were also fortunate to have a pep band, composed of select students, to play at all home and tournament games. We hope our band is this successful in all future years. Yvonne Anderson, Vice President 46 Pep Club Two hotdogs with mustard please! All for Bridger! The Bridger High School Pep Club has 38 members who actively support the Bridger Scouts in football, basketball and track.
