As basketball season opened this year, the Scouts were rated, according to the Associated Press, as the top team in State Class C Competition. They held a posi- tion in the top ten throughout the season; twice beating last year's State Champions, the Edgar Wildcats and hoping to do it again in tournament competition. But just before and during tournaments, unexpected injuries hampered their full force and the boys were eliminated from the tournaments Saturday morning. Although their goals were unreached, Bridger is still very proud of their team. Manager John Smith 32 Sponsored by: Continental Oil Jim brings it down the floor. 33 Kevin tries for a basket. With the participation of the townspeople, our parade, game, and dance proved to be a highlight of the season. Floats entered by the classes and those entered by the community were in competition for the first prize given every year for the float with the best design. On the field the Scouts fought to a victory over Shepherd, and later that night the Homecoming Queen was crowned to reign until '68.
