SufienutteKdent MY SYMPHONY To live content with small means; to seek elegance rather than luxury, and refinement rather than fashion; to be worthy, not respectable, and wealthy, not rich; to study hard, think quietly, talk gently, act frankly. William Henry Channing MR. ED T. SOMMERFELD MR. GORDON KLUKSDAHL 'PtiKCiftfU The primary concern of American education today is not the development of the appreciation of the good life in young gentlemen born to the purple. Our purpose is to cultivate in the largest number of our future citizens an apprecia- tion both of the responsibilities and the benefits which come to them because they are American and free. James Bryant Conant 5
