Senior Elections C gf 25923 ngfgf 5'3?? 5??7 The Student Council was in charge of senior elections again this year. The first week in October a class meeting was called. Before the meeting adiourned, petitions were being passed for signatures. The class was divided into our two traditional parties-Sunny and Hill. The next day and the rest of the week the halls were covered with brightly colored posters. Friday the primaries were held. The lucky winners were: Sunny Hill Thomas McConville Richard Givens Eric Henderson Jeanne Dunlap Jean Givens Mary Kulabonish Elinor Michener Merle Peterson Until October 20, when the finals were held, the school was in an uproar. The cli- max came on Thursday when we had a huge rally. The entire student body at- tended the rally for the first time. Some of the candidates passed out ballots, suckers, and cookies to the members of the Senior Class. Throughout the speeches you could hear balloons bursting. The parties each had a campaign song. The candidates had their campaign managers speak a few choice words in their behalf. Then the can- didates made a few comments. When the speeches were finished, cheers were given and the songs were sung. Friday morning the voting started. By this time the sus- pense was nerve wracking. At the end of the day the winners were announced. .M-Ns'- ' ...,,..-f-
