Before the meeting adiourned, petitions were being passed for signatures. The class was divided into our two traditional parties-Sunny and Hill. The next day and the rest of the week the halls were covered with brightly colored posters. Friday the primaries were held. The lucky winners were: Sunny Hill Thomas McConville Richard Givens Eric Henderson Jeanne Dunlap Jean Givens Mary Kulabonish Elinor Michener Merle Peterson Until October 20, when the finals were held, the school was in an uproar. The cli- max came on Thursday when we had a huge rally. The entire student body at- tended the rally for the first time. Some of the candidates passed out ballots, suckers, and cookies to the members of the Senior Class. Throughout the speeches you could hear balloons bursting. The parties each had a campaign song. The candidates had their campaign managers speak a few choice words in their behalf. Then the can- didates made a few comments. When the speeches were finished, cheers were given and the songs were sung. Friday morning the voting started. By this time the sus- pense was nerve wracking. At the end of the day the winners were announced. .M-Ns'- ' ...,,..-f- Class Prophecy Adventures of A Daydreamer September 'I964 Dear Duary Thus us the first month of school I can see ut now I a teacher am standung by the doorway lookung over the crowd of eager faces I am new here along wuth a few others of my graduatung class Eugene Gress us teachung scuence John Armbruster us runnung through the rugor of phy sucal ed Wullard Imer us hammerung un the shop classes Elaune Martun us pushung a puece of chalk un shorthand The Art Department us supervused by Delores Taflan and Shurley Vusnuc us the school nurse Robert Brown us busy bakung goodues un the cafeterua The bell rungs and the students are un theur classrooms Many of them are bubblung over wuth enthusuasm over the prospects of a new school year October 1964 Dear Duary Thus month I went to New England un a stratocruuser as a famous court lawyer On my travel to the Northern part of our country I met Stella Mulan and Eluzabeth Keevert who were aur hostesses on the plane Not too surprused I found pulots I remember the ambutuon of these two when we were un hugh school I sat wuth Eruc Henderson whose destunatuon was New York He was on vacatuon and was enuoyung some of the entertaunment un the bug cuty Eruc planned to see Elunor Muchener Jeanne Dunlap Dorothy Grumm and Ruth Mentz who were now playung wuth the all gurl orchestra at Raduo Cuty Arruv ung safely un Massachusetts I took a tour of the whole sectuon I caught a glumpse of Thomas McConvuIle who us runnung for senatorshup us secretary Ethel Roscoe was passung out bubble gum to Patrucua Funsley and Mary Ellen Yasen chak and cugars to Albert Hudumac whule Tom passed out kusses to the babues In Maune John Yasenchak John Vah and George Zavatsky were lumberlacks workung for a toothpuck company of whuch Alex Kolb was presudent After I com pleted mv tour of New England I decuded to re turn home by traun Relaxung un my pruvate car I was curuous to know who the enguneer was so I asked the conductor James Stefko James saud Ronald Malancsuk was pulotung the traun Ronald was tryung to set a new record We pulled unto the statuon safely and on my way out I hauled a taxu lt was druven by Roy Martun He has hus own cab company Our class has certaunly spread out unto dufferent fields November 1964 Dear D ua ry As a press photographer I get around to see ung a great many people Only the other day Shurley Speudel a press photographer and I were untervuewung Jeanne Runger who had recently returned from Calufornua when Charlotte Nuekro walked un She was assemblung materual for a story for her magazune Charlotte unvuted us to lunch wuth her We went to the duner owned by Raymond Zoladz where Valeruah Tracy was the wautress We enuoyed a meal prepared by Mary Ann Dalto and Shurley Wokouance Mary Ann and Shurley spent theur vacatuon un France compul ung theur famous recupes Patrucua Porter walked un wuth a group of nurses chatterung about the December 'I964 Dear Duary The other day as ut snowed I dressed un tradutuonal St Nuck regalua was standung on a street corner when I saw two competutors com ung down the street sungung Jungle Bells and shoutung Merry Chrustmas As they approached I recognuzed them as Wulson Pooge Adams and Eugene Lattocha un spute of the dusguuse They are both toy manufacturers and I umaguned they were celebratung wuth the usual Chrustmas cheer I moved from one corner to the next I passed John Baker who was tryung to convunce hus boss that he should have an extra weeks vacatuon Fred Brown was closung hus daury store Dale Pusher who us home on furlough rode by un hus new car Betty Peyton was walkung down the street wuth her arms filled wuth packages ' . Although essentially a defensive halfback, he could also tote the ball effectively. EUGENE GRESS was the jack-of-all-trades of our team. He was not only a fine blocker in the line but could also tote the pigskin with the best when called upon. WILSON POOGlE ADAMS, a four year let- terman and captain of our team, was our triple threat back offensively and a stalwart as a defensive tackle. DONNELLY KOLESAR, a two year letterman, was a demon on punt and kick off returns and very good defensively. ALEX KOLB was a defensive tackle deluxe. His hard charges broke up many a play for the opposition. His shoes will be hard to fill. EUGENE LATTOCHA performed with signs of greatness both offensively and defensively while he was in there, although Futs-Futs was hampered by iniuries most of the season. DONALD KOLESAR was our breakaway threat. He was a swifty and could pick his wav through the opposition very well. RICHARD GRAMLICH started the season at halfback but was switched to auarter where he performed favorably at the signal calling position the rest of the year. NORMAN HARNEY was our offensive spark- plug. Nota harder or more aggressive run- ner can be found anywhere. He will be sorely missed next year. JOHN BAKER was one of our important of- fensive cogs. His blocking paved the way for many gains of our team from his guard position.
