In an effort to develop a growing appreciation in a democratic form of government, the Student Council provides the responsibilities and privileges of participating in such a democracy in school, and strives to develop citizenship. The Student Council in its capacity to schedule the school's activities, tries to maintain an even balance of these ideals so that the student body might most beneficially profit. Stampede Staff The 1966 STAMPEDE, distributed to 500 mem- bers of the student body, was the result of many hours spent by the Annual staff. The staff working hard to meet each deadline felt it was worthwhile, however, after completing the four deadlines during the year. These members ee bute their time and abilities to promote high scholastic and social standards among the Jaledes Elected oy the citizens of Bridgeport, they strive to conduct the management of school affairs under the direction of Superinten- dent J. O. Edwards. The board members are: MR, H. A. MITCHELL, employed by North Central Oil Corporation, has served on the school board two years. He is the father of four children. MR.
